Our History

The story of St Mary's Catholic Primary School begins over a century and a half ago. The school was established specifically with the purpose of educating the many immigrant children who have come to the area of Brent with their families. This comes as no surprise because compassion and acceptance of outsiders have always been core principal of any Catholic educational institution. In that regard, we at St Mary's Catholic Primary School make no exception. What is more, we do our best to not only live up to the high expectations that the importance of our mission supposes, but also exceed them whenever possible.

The school began as two simple classrooms to cater to the needs of the children coming to it, and as many teachers. Through hard work, never forgetting the compassion and sense of purpose that made them commence on their thorny paths, our founders managed to build an institution that has become a pillar of the local community.

This passion continues to burn bright to this day. Our inclusive, diverse community of children, parents, their families, our school governors, teachers, and members of our parish in Brent, work tirelessly every day so that our Catholic school can grow and serve as a witness to the Gospel values.
